Expect the unexpected! I use many different techniques in my sessions to get people back on track in life, make lasting changes and fulfil their potential. I draw on my knowledge of ancient philosophies like Buddhism and yogic texts, to the most current research in psychology and neuroscience; to help you best understand how your brain works, and how you can get the best out of it. I believe that knowing how the mind works is one of the most empowering things you can learn; and so it is important to me that you have that understanding.
My sessions are rich in metaphor, storytelling and humour; they facilitate deep understanding about yourself and scientific knowledge on how your brain works. The power of Clinical Hypnosis is combined with brain-based therapy, Solution Focused work, CBT, mindfulness and yogic breathing and trance work to help you make changes, quickly and permanently.
How we work together
After a 20 minute free Skype or telephone conversation to assess how I can help you, I can book you in for a first session, which comprises a more detailed consultation, an explanation of how the brain works and a hypnosis taster. You’ll also be given a free CD to listen to at home and support material.
Depending on what you would like help will sessions will vary, as will the number of sessions. I offer packages for phobias, pregnancy and childbirth and a one-off stop-smoking service; and also block-booking packages (5 or 10 sessions) for other clients. All session plans include CDs (or MP3 tracks) to listen to at home; and support booklets, including a log book where you can keep track of any homework, and for reflective practice. We work together so you can make the changes you desire, and so I ensure we keep up a good therapeutic alliance during our time together. I may recommend relaxation techniques to try, reading material and practical tasks to carry out, all which will help you get better results.
What to expect in sessions
No two sessions are the same, and I have a veritable witches cupboard of tools and techniques. I do use hypnotherapy in most of my sessions as I believe it is one of the most effective ways of making changes quickly. Hypnotherapy is safe, enjoyable and delivers results quickly. It can be used to help people to manage their lives, achieve their goals and eliminate unwanted habits, anxiety, fears and phobias. Hypnotherapy can also help to relieve pain and can be used in preparation for and recovery from general and dental surgery. It can also be used in pregnancy to prepare for an anxiety-free, natural birth.
In my practice I use a combination of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, hypnosis, CBT, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Yogic philosophy, trance work and breathing techniques, and Human Givens psychology to deliver a tailor-made therapy to help you make changes as quickly as possible. Hypnosis creates new patterns that reduce and replace negative thoughts, habits and unhelpful internal chatter, resolving inner conflicts and leaving you free to move on and fulfil your potential.
I look forward to working with you!
